Need some help have a customer who wants a double socket in a greenhouse to use a heater on there is a supply on a garage just two meters away which is fed from the house and is rcd protected what can I use, do thanks thecable from the house is buried about 450 mm in PVC conduit can't find any info in regs thanks

Among other things use IP 56 rated sockets and the supply must be rcd protected. If there are extraneous-conductive-parts they will need bonding.

hmmm . greenhouse. aluminium frame.. extraneous???

i just threw that in for opinions. personally, i would class it as structural metalwork and bond it. like to see others' thoughts.

unless or course the socket outlet was fixed to a wooden post and not attached to the fabric of the greenhouse, perhaps.

Think it is if it is simultaneously accessible from the socket that counts. Mind putting a heater in a greenhouse is like throwing money away!
