100% bogus. "Help save as much as 90% on your electricity bill." in small text halfway through the ad? So not actually save it, just help save it. Or not.

But what did amuse me is that for the UK version of their site (no links, don't want to boost traffic) they have photoshopped UK BS1363 socket contacts onto a US-style duplex with one socket above the other, or just drew the thing from scratch wrongly. Whoever did it either has never seen UK plugs and sockets and didn't realise our doubles are side-by-side or didn't care or assumed viewers wouldn't notice.

To avoid giving them any links:

It is quite impressive!

OOI is it a requirement of BS1363 for them to be side by side, or is that just tradition?

It’s common sense.

You can’t use the top socket when something is plugged into the bottom here.

The only thing that will save you 90% of your electric bill is to stop using 90% of your electric…. And that’s simplifying things when you still need to pay a standing charge.
