O

Octopus

I'm off to look at a job this morning where the "outline" spec for an extension and along with the normal sparky bits there is requirements for HDMI cables to run from various points back to a central point.

I'm aware that some cables will run up to 15m - anyone got any experiences (good and bad) of doing such an install??

Thanks

I've used a pre made 15m without issue (caravan). Make sure they are version 1.4. and keep in mind the connectors won't generally fit in 20mm if pulling in later ;) Keep in mind you'll need two cat5/6 per feed if you go that route.

if you're buying pre made leads avoid the ones on fleabay,my mate was having a right problem with his cctv he bought all kinds of new bits THEN he rang me and it was a poxy lead off fleabay.
