I’m looking for a decent head torch and work light. Does anyone have any suggestions please?

Led lenser for sure for headtorch. 7 year warranty on registered products. Outstanding quality. Buy wisely though as plenty of fakes about.

A work light that uses your tool batteries would be a good choice.

3 AAA batteries required. (included) for that on amazon me I would go for a rechagable batteries one .

They are around double the price. They look good though and allow you to use batteries too. I will see if I can see it any cheaper as I’ve a limited budget.

I use a h7r.2 which is a brighter version and rechargeable via USB. The rechargeable battery has lasted about 4 years I think so far so worth the extra. You can still slot AAA batteries in too.

I bought the one below in the link. Black diamond icon. It’s very expensive but I wanted one which had quite a large power pack so that the rechargeable batteries would last all day. In addition I wanted one which had the centre head strap, I.e. one that goes over your crown as well as the sides of your head, as others I have had always slip. It is also very bright.

I use mine all the time so it has definitely been worth the buy, however if you are only using it once or twice a week then it may not be worth buying such an expensive one.

Got both types,and the ones that sit waiting for an emergency,are handier with batteries,not rechargeable,as quicker to press in to service when found flat?

Regulat daily need,would lean towards rechargeable.

For a small work light I would recommend these Nebo lights USB chargeable and extremely bright obviously battery life is less on full but they're dimmable also
They've a clip / magnet or can be hung on a hook body is aluminium, I don't expect the hook to last forever but it's a good buy

think the ridiculous figures are Chinese mistakes. seen same on other products. like batteries with Ah of thousands . anyway, the 2 head torches i have are really bright. i have a lux meter and will see wtat the lux is @ 1m later 2day.

just measured it. 600 lux @1m.

Just measured the black diamond. 601 lux @1m

proves my argument. £8.99 against £60+. same illumination. and if i lose or break mine, it's no problem. a complete no brainer. and once Boris has finally got us out of the EU and consigned jeremy cor blimey to the rest home along with neil pillock, phony blair, and the rest of the useless labour riff-raff, might be even cheaper.
