Heeeelllpppp telephone probs landline

Can anyone please help, I have landline & broadband through, (no)talk(no)talk, had no service for 5 days now , eventually engineer calls me to say check master, sure enough, dial tone when I disconnect bottom section of master, go to wholesalers, new master (single part plate), reconnect with just incomer, got dial tone , reconnect ext cables, nothing, . No work been done, even disconnected at first ext, still nothing

Please help, not much hair left to pull

Have you tried swapping the ADSL microfilter(s) there was a dodgy batch of them a while ago that were failing and causing the broadband fall over

how many ext is there, could there be a damaged wire under a carpet caught on gripper rod etc bell between your wires on ext see if theres a short
