Hi, im new to the forum.

Im just about to start a apprenticeship in derby college studying electrical installation, hoping to get NVQ level 2 and city and guilds 2330 certificate.:)

The thing is I have no clue on how to get a job or just even on site experience working alongside a electrician :(

If someone can contact me I am willing to work for them free - labouring etc just need on the job experience.

Can you call me if your interested.

Go on yell.com and find all the local electrical contractors/firms in your area.

Phone them, e-mail them, visit them in person.

Explain your situation, college etc. Ask for labouring or electricians mates, training, whatever.

Go to building sites, ask around, see if anyone needs a labourer etc.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forum and the industry.

I agree with what Bane has advised. You could also do a little A4 flier and get them put up in the trade counters of your local wholesalers.

Good luck for the future.
