Hi, Just thought i would introduce myself,

Im Dom, live in northampton.

Currently hold C&G 2351 Level 3.

I did this a few years ago at college, then went in a different route of life. Now im looking at getting back to it and finishing were i started.

Has anyone got any advice in what route i should take next as i am unsure, college said i should be able to apply for a job quite easy then convert it to a NVQ. But this is prooving quite difficult.

Many thanks,
Dom

Hi Dom,

not sure what the content of the 2356 is, is it equivalent to the current 2330?

If you have got a sixteeenth edition regs qualifiaction embedded in it you will need to update to the 17th (or may need to do the 17th complete)

You could do with 2391 (and 2392 if you are not experienced inspecting & testing)

the EAL Domestic Installer VRQ may do you well, depending on what was in your 2356

can give you more info if you want

Andt welcome!!

Hi Tony
Thanks for the reply, On closer inspection, i have made a mistake. It is a G&C 2351 Level 3 i hold.

This includes:

Ensure safe electrical safe working
Prepare to install electrical wiring systems
Wiring enclosures and equipment
Install electrical wiring systems, wiring enclosures and equipment
Connect electrical wiring systems, wiring enclosures and equipment
Inspect, test and commission electrical installations
Diagnose and correct electrical faults
Provide technical and functional information
Electrical Principles

I think my best route would be to find an employer to take me on as an "apprentice"?

Thanks for the guidence.

Dom
