Hi Guys,
46 yrs old x joiner/IT looking to change jobs and move into Electrical work.
Considering private training course for City & Guilds 2365 Course Level 2 & 3 Diploma
Done quite a lot of wiring in the past amongst other things.
Like most sadly I cant afford 3yrs collage and wondering if I did this would I pick up work
as a sparky`s mate ?

Hi SimonK, I dont quite Know where you are headed with this ie domestic electrician or commercial? You might consider the 2397 which is a fairly direct route to setting up for yourself. Thanks for the response and link.
I am interested in working in all sectors Dom/Commercial/Industrial.
In my research so far its looking that the CG 2365 lvl 2 & lvl 3 would be a good starting point.
Currently weighing up my options career wise and want to pursue something I am genuinely interested in
I was thinking if I completed 2365 2 & 3 I could perhaps get a sparky`s mate Job and move on to NVQ and then AM2
Previous exp I have worked in substations as a mate and a joiner for many yrs but to be called a "sparky" well thats
quite special !

Most important colours Green/Yellow ! lol
