Hi all, I just signed up to the forum and wanted to introduce myself.

I am not an electrician but I convert vans and trailers for specialist use or just basic racing and lining.

Anyway thats my introduction. Ive been on here a few times to find or confirm information and i am impressed by the knowledge base on here, but now have a question which cant be solved using the search function so I figured it was time to register

I will ask a stupid question. Don't quite understand what you do. What is 'basic racing and lining'?

Im a new start company so ive only done a few up to now. The best i would say is where and how I started out. That was a dog grooming van and a real challenge as it was designed to be entirely self sufficient while at customers houses. This meant that all the high energy users such as water heating and hair driers had to be designed and custom built to be suitable for use off battery and diesel power.

The strangest request ive had is probably retrofitting air conditioning. I just can't understand why anyone would pay the cost for the few days of summer we get in this country.
