Hi everyone, i'm doing my 2330 practical exam tomorrow and would really appreciate any tips as i am a little bit nervous about it (i usually never get nervous about exams)
in case some of you don't know, what i gotta do is install a socket ring with 2 sockets and an fcu and a two way lighting circuit from one consumer unit with the incoming power from s.w.a, it will be running in singles through p.v.c trunking, steel conduit(sockets),plastic conduit(lighting) and clipped direct between the two switches one of which is on brick.

The wiring is fine i am 100 percent on that i am only a little bit worried about getting the steel conduit right without messing up and wasting any and the fitting of the s.w.a as i've only used s.w.a once before so any tips on using that would be greatly appreciated.

hey mate, i am doing this same assignment atm, and handing it in tomorrow. i have already done the practical side and just finishing off the writen part now, if u need to know anything just ask :)

the conduit is a simple 90, so bend the 90 in it, use a doorframe to check for square, then tahe a measurement from the corner of the booth to one outlet box,

value measured
- 5mm for saddles
- 15 mm for half of a coupler

measure this total value from a wall onto the floor, lay your conduit on the floor and mark it off to this given distance, this gives you a accurate mark where to cut.

Repeat for the other side

Wind on 15mm 0f thread for your couplers on both ends

easy
