Hi all
I’m 31 years old from Liverpool and just over half way through my level 3 qual. I’m just after a little guidance on what to do when I’ve completed my course and the best way to go about it? I know I need to find an employer to do my NVQ part of the qualification but I’m stumped on where to go. Also would my age be taken into consideration as I’m 31 and think most employers would like a young newly qualified electrician.
I’m starting to get a bit worried now that I’ve wasted my time and my money paying for the courses.
I really enjoyed learning about all the different aspects of electrical work and really hope I can get a foot in the industry.
Thanks for reading and any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks again
Graeme

Depends on what you want to do.. you could do the formal NVQ, if you only want to do domestics then there is the domestic nvq l3 2397 I think? XS training the forum sponsor could help you out with that if working.
You could do the experienced worker route nvq after a couple of years. you will need your 2391 courses and pass the am2 though.
If you work as a electricians mate to get some experience you could then go down the domestic installer route. With your 2365 L2 and 3 and assuming you got the 17th edition then you will be more than welcome by the schemes

sign up with indeed. then you'll get email alerts of mates jobs in your area.
