Hi all. New member, first post. I'm only in training at the moment and i'm a bit stuck.

My text books refer to A2 and A3 radial circuits, but for the life of me I cannot figure out what the difference between them is.

Can anyone help or point me in the right direction?

I would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance.

Check out table 8A in the On-Site Guide.

An A2 circuit has a 30/32A protective device and minimum pvc insulated line conductor csa of 4.0mm

An A3 circuit has a 20A protective device and minimum pvc insulated line conductor csa of 2.5mm

There are other criteria so check the table on page 158
