Hello,

I am considering replacing my garage light with a regular bayonet LED light. The current light doesnt work and it isnt the bulb as I have changed that.

Is this something that can be done by a hobby DIY'er?

Picture attached of the current light.

the thing that is circled in the picture is not a light.

it is probably a PIR to turn the light on when it senses movement.
or it could even be a smoke detector, its hard to tell from the picture.

it is probably a really simple job for a spark and should not take more than an hour.

but lighting can be more difficult than you think, just look through the forum at posts like
help I have changed my light and now none of my lights work
there are plenty of horrors to read about.
