Hi! Sorry i'm new LOL

I've done a foundation degree in Sound Engineering for 2 years, graduated and i've decided on a career change (well sort of because some people would say electronics and sound go hand in hand).

I want to be (well i hope to be) a fully qualified electrician, but does me having a foundation degree (HE qualification) and having a student loan stop me or make it harder for me to reach my goal?

I'm in Doncaster by the way. I've been looking at the 2330 level 2 course at Sheffield college, but is there another one nearby that you'd reccomend? Is the 2330 best for starting out?

I'm willing to work my a55 offl!

Thanks in advance!

depends what you want to achive fully qualified C & G 2330 1,2, is good start and then level 3 but still need onsite exp best to try get in with a local spark then C & G 2391-10 test & inspection then mabe C & G 2391-20 design errection and verification of electrical installations plus 17th ed (2382) but if only want to do domestics EAL VRQ level 2 domestic installers then 17th ed then C & G 2392 fundimental testing & inspection covers upto 100A larger more complex and 3 ph need the C & G 2391-10 BUT 2392 first then when you get lots of exp testing & inspecting C & G 2391-10 will be easier. also depends on finances you might be better doing domestics as an approved installer then doing this in your spare time as a start while doing the 2330 etc that way you can still get experiance and work for a spark and earn a bit while your working towards the fully qualified sparks quals.
