hi. I’ve recently had to skip my trusted cable reel of nearly 10 years. I’m struggling to find anything similar and can only really see the cheap reels which have no weight to them and just fall over. What ones would you guys reccomend ?

Actually I have seen a very nice reel made up of steel conduit. Maybe you could make your own DIY reel? Two Ninety degree boxes and a couple of U bends with a steel conduit across the boxes. Forget how he did the rotating bit but sure you can find it on Utube? See how I did that;)

I remember back at college they had 20mm conduit cable spoolers, they were actually quite good but kind of annoying to put the drums of cable on.

I have one of the cheapo flimsy generic ones, not so bad if you screw it to the floor.

I made a steel conduit set years ago. 20 mm in two right angle boxes, with a 20mm into a 25mm as the spool. It folds down to nothing to fit in a bag and does up to 10mm t&e and singles.
Or racketeers with anything as the spool. Even had three 240mm’s on a bit of scaffold pole on them the other day
