Hi. Couldn't quite find a close match to my set up so I'm writing for help.

I'm not an electrician and don't know enough about switched live setups to be comfortable doing this.

Can you please tell me how to wire this thing?

The attached image shows what I'm working on.

Fan does not have an SL or Earth for that matter; just Live and Neutral.
Fan does not have a timer.
Fan is (to be) switched on with a standard switch.

Thanks,

Pete

in your case you don't need the 3 pole isolator or the junction box.. just use a double pole FCU fused at 3A, then to your switch. ( connect the N's with a connector or wago). continue the earth through to the fan using insulated connectors or wagos and terminate at fan into another connector or wago, but not connected into the fan.

thanks a lot telectrix - is this what it would look like?

thanks again!!
wagos in switch for N (and E if there is not an earth terminal) connections, unless you use a double pole switch, then it would just be earths in a wago. make sure your fused connection unit is double pole.

Can't tell whether switch is DP - it does have an E terminal tho.

So is this how it should look like ? Assuming switch is SP...
