I am having a new kitchen put in and wanted to put in downlights. the room is 3.70 meters wide and 5 m long. How many downlights is suffient and what spacing ?

I was thinking about the sealed jcc units either led 3 or led7 has anyone had any experience with these downlights are they any good. or is it better to have a gu10 fitted and have a led bulb

Many thanks

badly installed downlights are a major cause of burnt-out connections and possible fire risk. get a local spark to design and install at a fraction ot the cost of your shiny new kitchen.

I personally have jcc led 7w in my own house. I dont like the look of the 3w ones the 7w are much nicer.

It is NEVER better to use a gu10 fitting and an LED bulb. I know LEDs are expensive but the manufacturers claim that within 18months they pay for themselves by the energy you will have saved.

I couldn't begin to say how many lights you would need. Best get a spark in for that, wholesalers will have a design specialist who can sit down and design this for you also.

Its all very well having ideas of where you want them BUT pipes, joists and cables do conspire to enforce changes!
