Hi there,
first time on the forum so if I’m posting in the wrong area or breaking any etiquette I apologise in advance but I’m in a bit of bother.
I took it upon myself to install 6 LED spotlights in my mums kitchen before the arrival of the new units and whilst I had great success at the beginning, I’m afraid that was short lived as the other row of three did not work like the other three did once the electric came back on.
The first row of three against the back wall worked fine and I feel like I understand the workings of them pretty well.
However the other wall did not work at all. I installed the one nearest to the window first and I assumed it might be running in series and that I might have got the final one in the chain as it had two sets of wires coming through the cut out so I proceeded with the other two and hoped this would complete the circuit.. it did not.
example of the the double roof wire cores wired like I did the opposite row.
I also used a signal tracer to make sure the light switch was linked to the non working row and indeed it was, just the same as the working ones.
Please note I did not do the initial cut out’s or wiring, this what was left of the previous owner.
any help would be greatly appreciated!
