Hi folks.
Just joined and wanted to say hi.

I am a multi skilled maintenance engineer.
I started out semi skilled mechanical fitter for Dowding and Mills in the late eighties.
Worked my way upto top skilled.
Then moved on to maintenance work and got extra training through SETA adding electrical work.

Currently working permanent nights in a manufacturing company.

Welcome fazz
I know dowding and mills, in Aston.
I do send some work there every now and then.

Hi all thanks for the welcome.
The Dowdings I was at was in Altrincham.
Worked there from 88 to03
Then went back 2013 when it had become Sulzer Dowding and Mills.
Only lasted four years as Sulzer shut it down.
Really enjoyed it first time round.
Learned a lot from the guys who had been there years.
Worked on every thing from tiny motors to 11 kv 22 ton motors and everything in between ac dc sp 3ph generators all sorts.
