I have just completed my level 2 2365, I'm about to begin level 3. I'm now looking for some experience as an electricians mate as I'm finding it difficult to find a job being a female without the full qualification. Any advice would be great!

It is not that you are female or the level you are at. It is just a difficult market to break in to and it is the same for the countless posts that are on here regards same. Put ads in all your local wholesalers for improvers work etc. Frankly I think as a female you have a unique selling point, customers quite often now specifically want only female so please don't imagine its 'cos you're female or level 2 qualified.

Oh yeh and a female electrician that works for me gets into work I can't touch. She recently had a job where only female trades got to work on a refurb. There is a female collective here in Bristol all electricians who seem to do well maybe you have one near you? Look on Gumtree.

I have heard that myself @Vortigern , not yet come across them myself, although I mainly do housebashing. not sure on legality of it in these pc times unless the work is in say a changing room??
as for the OP quite a few councils and public sector places would jump at the chance to hire a female for an apprenticeship as part of the drive to diversity, its often the case women get a raw deal so use it to your advantage for once.
