Good afternoon,
We hired an electrician to replace the lights in our basement. Previously there was one circuit of fluorescent lights for the whole basement on a single switch at the top of the stairs. The electrician removed all of the fluorescent lights, and split that existing lighting circuit so that we could control each half of the basement independently. The finished half of the basement has a drop ceiling and uses two 0-10V LED drop-panel lights, and the unfinished half has three LED shop lights on a digital dimmer. There are no other loads on this basement light circuit.
We also have a large hot tub. When we put the hot tub jets into their highest speed setting, the LED shop lights on the unfinished side start to flicker, regardless of their dimmer settings (high or low, still flickers). No other lights in the house flicker (all LEDs, some of them dimmable), and it is 100% reproduceable by turning on the hot tub jets to their highest setting. However, if I turn on the lights for the finished half, then the unfinished half will stop flickering even with the hot tub pumps running. This makes me think its a quirk of the dimmer/led bulbs not putting enough load on the circuit? But but then why only flicker when the hot tub pumps are on?
I want to make sure this is not a sign of a dangerous issue. If it is simply a quirk of the bulbs/digital LED dimmer, then I can live with it because it is rare that we are both in the basement and running the hot tub (plus we can stop it by turning the other half of the circuit on).
Very Respectfully,

- TL;DR
- High hot pump jet speeds cause dimmable LED lights on a different breaker to flicker. Is this a dangerous wiring issue or a quick of LED dimmer bulbs?
