If it can be glanded into say a metal clad 45A switch in a sensible place, then what's the problem?

I'm just saying really use swa on a domestic cooker hob? industrial type setup that.....like I say sometimes common sense should provail and you have to put your foot down with a customer and tell it how it is.

Using SWA externally is hardly an 'industrial type set up'. SWA is used in thousands of domestic properties.
To the OP; the cable could be SWA, NYY or in conduit. You need to see which is the most practical and sensible for the run. Is the cable that is ran externally likely to get any knocks. If it is then I would avoid NYY in that instance. And I don't think an externally mounted IP box is necessarily an ugly addition.

Explain to the customer the positives and negatives about each viable option and price accordingly.

6mm t+e run through 25mm conduit on the external section would be simplest. Don't really like t and e in conduit, but no point adding unnecessary joints for sake of it, and twin will be easier to route on the internal sections.

Personally if I couldn't convince client to bite bullet and mess up kitchen I'd silly price job and if accepted I'd do it in conduit or if possible dig trench and hide swa?

None of us have (except the OP) seen the job though. The external run might be only for a few feet. The exterior of the house might be hideous and unkempt. The run might be in a side passage that is virtually never used. Solutions and their costs can be provided and the client can then decide.

I tend to agree with the above...

Domestic install , only (easiest) route is external , depending on the oven/hob I would go for 4mm in 20mm pvc conduit or 6mm in 25mm pvc conduit.
It ain’t perfect but nothing in life ever is.

Take the 10mm bonding from main water pipe under sink and use as a draw for 6mm then re instate it’s helped me out a couple of times
