For a domestic hob?
Is there a regulation I'm not aware of that says you can't run supplies to hobs in armoured?
I'm not really sure what you're getting at.
If it can be glanded into say a metal clad 45A switch in a sensible place, then what's the problem?
'wheres that in the regs'?
I never mentioned it's against the regs did i...?
I'm just saying really use swa on a domestic cooker hob? industrial type setup that.....like I say sometimes common sense should provail and you have to put your foot down with a customer and tell it how it is.
No offence to the OP but this thread has made me giggle. Good luck with running the cable out and in and in and out.... and in.
I wouldn't have either externally on my house......and no I'm not a snob just wouldn't want a fat cable on show with loads of cleats showing.
Personally if I couldn't convince client to bite bullet and mess up kitchen I'd silly price job and if accepted I'd do it in conduit or if possible dig trench and hide swa?
6mm t+e run through 25mm conduit on the external section would be simplest. Don't really like t and e in conduit, but no point adding unnecessary joints for sake of it, and twin will be easier to route on the internal sections.
Can you get 6mm or 10mm singles?
I've only ever used 10mm for earth bonding
I can't work out if this question is a joke or not?
