Hi, can anyone help. I am trying to install a Honeywell Accenta G4 with new PIR sensors.

I am struggling to get the new PIR sensors to work correctly.

The new sensors I have are IS3016 Passive Infrared Motion sensors.

When I have wired previous PIR sensors, they have had 6 wires

Tamper loop
Tamper loop
Zone wire 1
Zone wire 2

Following this method doesn't work. Any ideas?

post a pic of a PIR showing the terminals.

not sure that it is compatable with that Accenta G4 I am sure that someone on here may know or a phone call to Honeywell may be needed

hi pal

terminals NC (normally closed) and C (common) are your zone detection and it doesnt matter which way around the cores are fitted. the tamper terminals are T1 and T2 and again they are not polarity conscious. these are a decent PIR but id recommend you fit a scantronic 9651 panel from now on as they are just as cheap but far superior.

:)

Hi, Thanks for the reply. That's what I thought , and that's how i've wired it. It works ok with the old PIR.
Just can't get the new PIR to set.
Tamper works if you remove the cover. But when you set the panel it never goes in to set mode.
Maybe these PIR's are not compatible?

they are 100% compatible mate.

i would link out that circuit at the panel to see if that is the setting fault?

i would also check for continuity on that pirs detection cores back at the panel. it should bell out when not activated and go open circuit when some one walks past.

do those steps mate and you should have your answer.
