Hi. How to wire the hot element in a fan forced Westinghouse POL662W oven. The one at the back not top. A photo would be great . There are 2 connections on top and one below on each side. I attached a photo of current wiring which started a short circuit. Thanks a lot

looks like it's a case of cleaning the terminals and fitting new spade connectors. not sure about the white wire on the right hand terminal.element needs to be tested for continuity and earth leakage.
 
You have connected the earth wire to the element and the live wire to the earth terminal of the element!!

Swap the wires circled, but note that by miswiring the element you may have damaged the thermostat and or oven timer.

Thanks a lot Freddo. It is exactly what you said. Thanks God no damage was done. It is working. What freeks me out is that theelement needs to be replaced every year. Maybe we are heavy users.
