My house only has red and black wiring (old house). So I'm kinda lost on ceiling fan install. Is my red neutral? Do I connect white from fan to red from ceiling? Pig tail red from ceiling and switch with white from fan? I've spent a couple of hours rewording all this many different ways into Google and can find NO help. Yes I know red is supposed to carry power and white is neutral. But thats not the case in my situation?

Conner I have never seen a house without neutrals. I believe you need to look in your panel. Black and red are usually the two phases coming into the panel. Not sure exactly what the red wires fit in that you are talking about. Do you have 120vac receptacles ?

Are you asking if I have wall outlets on the circuit along with switch and ceiling light? If so yes there are at least 4 and a bathroom light as well. My nontouch volt meter says only 1 wire is carrying power. The other when separated reads no volts.
