Hi all, Got a bit of a query with my mains supply where it enters the house. Its in an empty room that i'd like to either fit a bathroom in (as in my picture) or a toilet and wash basin. Would I need to have this DNO fuse etc moved or can it be boxed in with a water sealed access hatch? All I've found online is things relating to a bath but not shower. I have read on several sites that I can fit a basin and toilet in there to make a small washroom but none have mentioned a shower too.
Excuse the picture, its just a rough idea of what i'm after ideally. Would rather not eat into funds to have the supply moved if there is another way?

Thanks in advance for any info.

BS7671 only covers you installation hence why you will only find general information about special locations containing a bath or shower.

The DNO have their own set of rules and it would be best for you to consult them directly. They have, in the past, disconnected supplies without warning when works similar to your plans have been carried out.

welcome ,looking at the plans its out side the zones to have the DNO cut out ,I agree with strim ,the DNO frowned apron the services being in a bath room .having spoken to a DNO fitting a meter on a job and told me they went to a job resent the cut out was under the stair with a shower ,told the customer to remove the shower or lose the supply .

Toilet off a dining room?

I can imagine next Christmas...

"Ooooh, that were lovely grub.... Maybe too many sprouts though. Excuse me a minute....wheres the loo?
It better have a good extract fan in it! Just what you want, the whiff coming out into the dining room!
