How do i wire a 3xwire IEC cable

Im having a little trouble guys i need to wire a 250v wire to a hid light for my marine i have the earth wired in its right place .

Now where do the live and nuturel go there is no were to say where these wires go .

I know its a easy job like wiring a plug

IS there an IEC socket? to which your connecting a homemade IEC lead?

you haven't said what type of fitting but if its BC it doesn't matter which one you put in either but if its say GES the center point should be live this can be easily id'd hope this helps
