Discuss How long for the assessment after booking with Stroma? in the Certification NICEIC, NAPIT, Stroma, BECSA Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Re: Storma

Accepted if you can tell this idiot how to print them off, without a compatible printer?
Ok just done a dummy run and it automatically sends them via email and you can print them off and it saves them has a PDF file which you have on your phone and you always have a copy at hand if needed.:hurray:

Thanks. Except can't do emails on my ruddy iPhone. I'll just show the assessor, the one I done earlier on my phone.

I just tried it and it gave me options like using my gmail app to send it (that worked) or to upload to my dropbox, upload to cloud services etc, bluetooth it, lot of options.

EDIT: Just checked and just generating the action plan and viewing it creates a PDF on your phone like Skelly said. No need to email it out if you don't want.

Care to transcribe that into english?

Re: Storma

Commercial work and EICR is at no extra charge.
A commercial job is needed to look at and knowledge of commercial installation and three phase testing procedures is tested.
For EICR I think they require specific testing and inspection qualifications, they certainly do for the 3rd party scheme, and testing in the form of questions regarding common issues about coding, observations, procedure etc. They also go through previous reports.

For record keeping they were happy seeing my digital files of completed certs and the complaints procedure was a generic thing I had left over from Elecsa membership.

Was told last week with my initial assessment that C&G 2394/5 (or equivalent) is required for commercial as well as EICR's but at no extra charge

I would say that your biggest difficulty will be getting non-domestic clients and, in the case of periodic inspections, insurance companies to accept anything other than NICEIC Approved Contractors (with the possible exception of the ECA).

Unfortunately, very true.
