A coach building company I do work for built a posh "burger van" for a customer.

now I put 14 GU10 Downlights into this space which I and everyone thought was more than sufficient.

However the customer believes this is woefully insufficient, and wants an additional 25 fittings fitted! ie 49 GU10 fittings.....

At 400LM per bulb this is almost 20,000 lumens in a ----ing burger van!!

It will be 3 rows of lights, with each light 5 inches away from each other!!

Maybe I should fit halogen bulbs, and he will have some heat lamps ;)

Do you guys agree this is excessive........?

I'm guessing not much ceiling height if its in a van. Whats the beam angle on the downlights? They may be too narrow and so causing lots of shaddows in between / when the fixture is behind your head. I would have thought led battens/tubes would be better?

The current bulbs are Elite 4W 4K bulbs, which are 400lm with a 60D beam angle.
It was a customer request to have replaceable bulbs.

It is just a standard trailer "burger van" that is towed with a van.

The full Articulated trailer's we have done have had less lights!

Will take a photo of the finished article......
