how many magic eyes from one box??

as the title asks , i have a customer that doesnt want multi room but wishes to have eye in each room all going back to a sinlge sky + box.

can i also ask what a multi switch does in laymans terms ?

you can have quite a few use global amp 2/4/8/16 way
you do not need a multiswitch this is mainly for commercial use

Anything above 2 will prob require a 230 socket to power the 9volt magic eyes, i worked for sky as an installer for 10 years prior to getting qualified as a spark.

the little loftboxes or tv link boxes will run 4 eyes without power. Anything more connected and the voltage drop makes it all unreliable if it operates at all as all eyes have an LED which is good for fault tracing but a pain if you need a socket in a loft or cupboard to feed 5 eyes! always price for banging a bigger one in plus power like you would allow spare ways in a consumer unit. Count rooms and tv's or potential TV's and add 20-25% on. Always use the eyes and amps with snap seal F connectors and not the crap tin coaxial type!
