If a circuit has two lights, which incorporates two switches, how many points do you put down?

I always thought it was 4 but my colleague today told me it was two because you only have two lights.

don't matter anymore my new installation certs has nowhere to list how many points/lights there are on each circuit.
in any avent the answer is 2

2 points as in no. of points served on a schedule of test results, but 4 points when you are pricing an install at price per point.

Thanks guys, here's another one...... What about double sockets? I would class them as 1 point?

i would, but some would class them as 2.

This one always seems to cause confusion with apprentices and novices. A double (or even a triple) socket outlet is only ONE point of utilisation. Similarly if you have chandelier with 20 lamps it's still only ONE point of utilisation.

mickey do you price per point on your re wires been asked to do one for a friend not done them for a couple of years trying to stay away from them but used to charge 40 pound per point that is switches spurs spots skts etc

45-50 per point is about normal these days. but more for cookers /showers etc. all depends on the accessories as well. if cust. wants metal accs. then obviously allow for extra cost.
