Ive decided to move from where I work. My question is how soon in the new year do the agencies start recruiting again? Is there much chance of getting a start in January? Or a start with a company? Just seeing what my options are. Or do I stay put a bit longer until things pick up? I could stick it out where I am until I find something. But I don’t want to.
Stick it out until you find something else... or if financially viable Leave and take time off to look properly. Do up your CV and apply for every job that suits your fancy.
I don’t particularly like my job ATM. Very stressful. But I will wait until
the time is right.

Depends on your priorities John, me I would stay where I am and keep searching, for a new job, remember any prospective Employer may ask why you are unemployed. and some of your previous posts highlight your unhappiness unless every thing suits you, sometimes you have to bite the bullet and get on with it, remember don't burn your bridges when you hand your notice in, you never know how things will turn out. I have had numerous jobs where the conditions weren't to my liking, but I had a Family to feed and a hefty Mortgage, stay where you are until you find the job of your dreams,,good luck with your search.
