ok here is my question,

i had my mcs audit last week and all went fine, the only point he pick up on was my short circuit and irradiance test,
how do you do this test and how do you calculate it, i thought i got told on my course not to short the panels out as you could damage them, but the mcs guy told me i can, please can you let me know form experience.

Short circuit module (or string) preferably with the use of a DC breaker. Measure Short circuit current with a clampmeter at the same time you measure irradiance.

Expected Isc = Isc (stc) x measured irradiance/1000

Isc (stc) is printed on the label at the back of the module.
