How to ground shielded wire?

Hi!

I'm using a cable with 2 poles and a shielding wire.
The cable should be soldered to a circuit board with + and -. But I'm wondering what to do with the shielding wire?
I've read that it should be connected to ground in one of the ends. But I'm wondering where and how to connect to ground? The circuit board I'm using are bought, and have a ground plane, but I can't see any grounding points.

What signal is the cable carrying? What is the circuit and what is at the other end? The choice of grounding points might depend on the function. Pictures would help.

This is the amplifyer that I'm using and the shielded wire that I'm suppose to connect where the microphone is right know. So the blue wire goes to - and the red wire goes to +. So the signal is from a microphone. Thank you!

The (-) terminal of the microphone appears to be grounded - you can see the four radial lines between the 'thermally disconnected pad' and the ground plane. Therefore the shield and blue wire connect to the (-) pad on the board and the red wire to the (+).
