Discuss how to take supply from split rcd board without rcd protection in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

fine as long as the cable feeding the shed does not , in itself, require RCD protection. e.g. SWA.

Youd have to create a non RCD protected way, however j doubt anyone will tell you how to do that if you not already aware. Alternatively, install another small board.

all depends on if you have a non-RCD weayin the house DB. if so, it's simple.

Hi - my preferred method now is to implement the new distribution circuit to the shed with an RCBO as this will provide protection for the whole circuit and shed. You might want to consider a DP iso to dis the outbuilding in the case of a N-E fault on the cable. I see you’re a Trainee, so perhaps ask a Moderator for access to that section if you’ve not already.
