Hows the C & G 2357 going to work?

Hey,

I was just wondering how the C & G 2357 is going to have an effect.

Now it says it's replacing the 2330 & 2356 NVQ, Now that means I am guessing everyone needs a placement to do the this new Qaulification. But atm I am doing the 2330 level 2 but It also says I can do the 2330 level 3 if I get enroled before september 2010 but If I don't get a placement it would be pointless since apprenceships are difficult to get these days.

Anyone else in the same boat as me? Just need to find options in my career after I do my course.

Ive heard it wont be implemented next year as centres are not ready, as for the new qual, it is very closley linked with an organisation called summit skills who run the skills competitions for electrical students and plumbing students nationwide, very much work based

only just been hit with this tonight im in first year level 2 at leeds got told that we can finish level 2 but cant do level 3 dont understand what this means and that the goverment has pulled funding how are we meant to be qualified. dont see how they can get away with this supose it would be different if we was all asylum seekers though.

BUT I am still confused as to what happens for me and many more like me who have just finished our 2330 level 3 and are not employed in the trade. Will we be able to do the NVQ 3 as we originally thought (once work as been found) or will be have to start from scratch and do the 2357 from the beginning, or will the 2330's be incorporated into the new 2357, surely we wont be expected to do the entire 2357 from scratch......or will we ?
