Them boys don't need fancy tools, one criticism I didn't see them earth the copper screens of the cores to the armour.
 
When there are threads with the topic being swa glanding and the clear plastic joints I often recall as an apprentice,being taught to work on (smaller than the video)lead sheathed double wired armoured brass joints, we were taught in class to make them off and had exams on our efforts

With fond memories of our difficulties,the skill needed by these guys will always be appreciated

Excellent video @Des 56 although I think they cheated by speeding it up!
Interesting how the fundamentals don't change but the tools and materials improve so much over time.
Certainly no worries about melting lead all over the place.
