Fairly common for a customer to test the water by ‘offering’ you extra works just before you price a job up

The people that are genuinely trying you out won't tell you about it. The people that tell you about it expect you to fall over yourself giving a low price so they can either keep you at the low price for the next job, or do the same trick again to find a similar mug.

this week I estimated a job it was by text ,this what me put, the work that you require would be xxxx ,customer thats ok ,book you in ,answer from the customer not yet just getting another quote ,answer to him ,thats fine, good luck.
