Any opinions as to which is best?
I have tried both, and I think the Ideal connector levers are more secure than those on the small Wago 221 version.
On the new small Wago 221 connectors, I have found the levers tend to lift easily.

I use the Wago 221. The levers don't lift at all when secured in the appropriate enclosure. I find the Ideal ones fiddly and brittle.

Wagos, the new slimline push ins are amazing and take up no room at all. The levers are brilliant, they wont lift in the wago boxes with the on there side, they probably wont lift anyway, brilliant things.

Used ideal for a while, not as good.

Wagos...
If I had my time again, I would marry one...

firm grip
and...
maintenance free!

Mind you, my fellow forumite JK-Electrical helped me out of a tight spot with an Ideal inline splice connector, and that is a useful product!
