Hi all, hope you can help. What is the black unit under the meter. Is it a sort of earth Leakage device

It is concentric meter tail to reduce tampering

Presumably where there have been issues with supply.
It looks like there was a token prepayment meter in there at some time, instructions to the left.

These connections are quite common, they make it trickier to tamper but also ease installation for the meter fitter.

Most of them are only rated to 60amps,On 100amp supply I take them out and retail.
