We've had a few argumentative threads and / or people again in the forums and it's having a knock-on effect on new member registrations and general posting experiences by all members. This isn't how a forum should be. So we're stepping in again, and this time will be the last time.
We're going to be strict with this now. If you're causing arguments, or just being generally time consuming for the moderators, then we'll ban your account for 3 months. If somebody wishes to follow those who have been banned, that's fine we'll ban those accounts too. You can contact Dan if you'd like your account removed fully. We don't remove content. We rename the account and stop the ability to login to it. You'll need to speak to Dan to have your account removed fully and all your posts marked as Guest and unassigned to a username. This can be arranged and can never be undone.
We don't want people replying to abusive threads or posts (that's never worked), we want them reported.
There are too many keyboard warriors knocking about and it has to stop. So it does now. You've had enough warnings over the years so there wont be any warning at all.
We wont be explaining or discussing this any further, posts getting created about this may result in a ban because it could be seen as trying to wind up the argument for just for the sake of a bit of trolling.
If you want to discuss this as a group then go make a facebook group or chat on somebody else's forum and waste their time. Start a thread on here about this and you risk getting banned.
Minimum 3 months bans are being used. Maximum 12 months. Send an email to [email protected] if you'd like your account fully removed and all your content marked as if posted by a guest and not assigned to any username. This can never be undone. QUESTIONING THE MODERATORS ACTIONS ISN'T ALLOWED
Further to the above, I want to make it clear that it isn't acceptable to keep questioning the actions of moderators and admins. The moderators and admins are all volunteers who do this in their spare time. Usually always long-serving members first so know the drill. When they action something, whether editing a thread or removing one fully, they do it with the forum as a whole in mind and not always just that one thread. So you just have to trust their actions have good intentions and have some faith that what they've done is for the sake of the forum and not yourself individually or 'the other person or group of people involved in that one thread or situation'.
That's always been the case, but we have given members the benefit of the doubt and spent time answering questions about the actions moderators take to try and keep the forum running smooth.
Clearly that's never good enough and just causes more questions to be asked in the future. So that stops today too. We wont answer questions on why we've taken an action. And we will remove threads asking about the said action. If the moderator feels it is required, they'll PM you with an explanation of a full thread removal.
I have enabled the 'reason for editing a thread' option and set it to one minute. So after a minute has passed, we'll all need to leave a reason for editing a post, including moderators. That's all we'll be doing now.

- The way to deal with posts you don't agree with is to ignore them
- The way to deal with posts made by people you don't like is to ignore them (and perhaps go to their profile and click ignore user on their profile so you don't see their posts at all)
- The way to deal with abusive posts or posts that break the rules is to report them and not reply to them (which is feeding the trolls and is against the rules just like trolling is because they cost the same amount of time to clear up)
