Discuss Incomplete? in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Seems like they have just carried out earth fault loop impedance tests (Zs). The remarks column states no insulation resistance tests were carried out, not clear if rcd readings are applicable as it is almost indecipherable although you can make out rcd written in the Circuit Description. Have they told you a full test was carried out.

What are the agreed limitations and physical limitations stated on the report, normally on the first page?

Extent of electrical installation covered – complete installation
Agreed limitations – 10% of fixtures and fittings removed for inspection. No R2 or insulation tests due to sensitive equipment.

I think that's what it says anyway, hard to read really, I just have a scanned copy from someone else.

No insulation resistance tests due to sensitive equipment is a bit of a cop out but if that was agreed then so be it. If they introduced these limitations off their own back with no discussion that is different. The key point is where is says Agreed Limitations.

No functional testing carried out either, didn't they check any switches???

I have no issue with no IR testing as it can scare people about damaging equipment

But no functionality testing seems odd ?
