Discuss Inspection camera from Maplin? in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

I bought one of these earlier this year and find it only adequate. Battery life is very short and the image is not very crisp. The brightness is adjustable but glare can be a problem. The length was ok for use on the car and to look under floorboards and in the ceiling void but you won't be able to see into the far distance. I find it a bit unwieldy and hard to direct and interpreting the image takes a bit of practice though there is a handy facility to invert the image on the screen. I'd say it's useful but limited. Not sure if higher priced brands like Rigid are much better.

Like a good many other gizmo's, not much use most of the time, ....but when you Need to be able to see into a confined space, worth every penny of that initial outlay!! lol!! Funnily enough, i bought one from Lidl's over here (Yes they are here as well, as are many other well known outlets) just last week for about £40ish. I'm pretty sure i'll find a use or two for it over the next couple of years. ..lol!!
