Hi,
I am installing a hot tub in a friends garden,I am using 2.5swa cable straight out of the dis board on a 32A mcb,to a commando switch/socket,I am not sure if i have to use an rcd aswell next to the socket??

If you don't know the answer to this question, I assume you've not read or even got the BGB or the OSG.

So should you even be contemplating this??

You state your an Electrician ... i very much doubt you are in any way competent to do this job ... sorry to be harsh but straight away you have a OCPD higher rated than your CCC of your cable.... id put a bullet proof vest on for the comments coming your way and ring McDonalds and tell them your good at flipping burgers!

PS welcome to the forum :)

Seriously this is a question to embarrass a 1st yr apprentice!

You state 16th 17th edition this would indicate yrs of experience through both editions of the reg's ..im lost for words seriously :nonod:
