Installing light switch

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum category but I am looking for help with changing light switch facings. I have completed all the plugs which were easy and stumped on these haha.

first u can take that trailing earth out of that connector block but leave all the other earths connected - you dont need to make any earth connections with a plastic switch and backbox.

Sorry I don’t have one. Very minimal unfortunately. I’m just needing this one switch correctly wired.

Is this a bathroom light switch or 2 way with another switch?

It is not possible from a distance to advise what conductors go to which terminal and seeing you have limited electrical knowledge or test equipment the best advice is to get help from an onsite electrician.

As Westward says, you can't determine what conductor does what from your pictures. There are few possible configurations on how this can be connected all dependent on what each switch is doing.
Get an electrician in to sort it for you, it should be relatively straight forward and not expensive.

.......And youve just learnt lighting circuits arent as straightforward as power circuits.

A decent multimeter is £20.

Always a handy thing to have.
