Hi all,

Is it required anywhere in Law to make available your public liability insurance to clients, or is it best practice to do so,

Feel I want to get something out of it even if its just to show a client for peice of mind,

any thoughts

thanks.

Not 100% sure, but i dont think you need to show them anything unless they ask to see it.

What makes you think that you do?

Has someone asked to see it?

Not sure to be honest.

Unless you fix it in the back of your van somewhere?

Never even been asked for it, only by the assessors.

Hi there chaps !

Its actually the Employers Liability cover that is the legal requirement, so if you dont employ staff then there is no legal requirement to have ANY cover at all.

However, Public Liability should be an absolute must for any tradesmen to protect you from any injury or damage you may cause.

Furthermore we operate a Liability comparison website for Tradesmen where you can obtain and view quotes and then and buy cover
Public Liability Insurance-compare cheap quotes for tradesmen

We also have a site up and running where you can compare tools and equipment too from all the major retailers !!!
Contractors Compare - Tools, Equipment, Workwear

Hopefully this will be of some use to you all and if you have any questions then please just shout.
