Hi guys after someone's knowledge, I wonder if Wylex mcbs rcbos etc will fit a volex cu as I have an abundance of Wylex and know that there both made by Electrium. Not after an argument about comparability and type testing just are they actually the same physical shape ?
Cheers
Graeme

Wylex mcbs have two options underneath for the busbar to connect into. With the din rail to take into consideration aswell for mounting I have found that quite a few different mcbs match up. I think crabtree, Wylex,Volex and contactum are the same. Merlin, schneider and square d are also.
I always keep to the same though as I think there is a manufacturers rule to keep the same brand on the same consumer unit. Think it would void the warranty if there was a fire or fault within the cinsumer unit etc.
