IP rated enclosure

How would you guys go about coding damage to IP rated enclosures have some boxes at a local tip for controls, have 1 that’s door is cracked and has gaffer tape round enclosure doesn’t look to be any ingress inside, and 1 that’s on a stake but the bottom inserts have pulled through held with gaffer tape at the back will try find some pics

Could be a C2 or a C3..

To start with, you have to decide what IP rating is required.
It may be the box originally had an IP rating of 67, but only required 44.

If there’s a hole someone could put there finger in and touch something live, that would be a code C1.

If there’s a crack that might allow water in to conduct electricity to the outside, then a code C2 (might need a drain hole drilling).
If it’s that damaged that a strong breeze or the next knock might make it fall apart, also a code C2.

If it looks like the repairs might last some time, and it’s not going to fill with water the next time it rains, a code C3.
