IP67 Push Switch to replace plastic outdoor light switch and bell

Hi Guys,
Please can I have some advice on IP67 switches. I would like to use outside to replace bulky plastic switch boxes available on the market. One will be used for a light switch and another for a door bell. I plan to use a stainless steel push switch mounted on the face of a small sealed junction box recessed in the wall with a metal plate as a cover only.
I am really struggling to find the appropriate switches that are Latching 220-250v where the Led is also mains powered not 12V and the over switch momentary that is also 220-250v.

Please can someone help me.

Hi Thanks for response, there are companies like Farnell or RS but I don't know what switches I need to purchase as I am not an electrician

It's the enclosure that makes it bulky, not the switch. Even if using one of those IP67 switches, you're going to need an enclosure to put it in that is also suitably rated.

The switches are is IP67 which can be immersed in water so no enclosure is required. I can see the switches online but I need to know exactly which ones to order as there are many different types.

If they are to have mains voltage connected to them, they MUST be in an enclosure of some kind, this is non-negotiable.

The wiring regulations state that the basic insulation must not be visible outside an enclosure. Basic insulation is the initial layer of insulation around the conductor, which will have to be visible at the point of termination.

I would suggest, as you've stated you're not a spark, that you engage the services of a local electrician (preferably one that comes recommended from family/friends/colleagues).

As my first thread, the connector will be installed in an IP rated junction box, the only part of the switch open to the elements will be the front face.
I have come onto this forum looking for advice on choosing the correct switch.

Hi Dean - interesting question is - when you drill a hole in your IP rated box to fit your IP rated switch what is the resulting IP rating? You have taken the role of manufacturer .

If you look at most junction boxes, you have to put a hole in for cables.
What is the difference. I am confident I can drill the box and seal around the hole. If necessary I will fill the whole box with IP68 magic gel! Can anyone help with choosing the right switches please?

You just need a 240v, SPST, normally open, latching switch for the light and a 240v SPST normally open non-latching switch for the bell.
